Last month, Bakehouse’s Cathy Leff, Krys Ortega, and artists Monica Lopez De Victoria, Woosler Delisfort, and Cornelius Tulloch participated in a study trip to Paris and Marseille! ✈️ ✨
Thanks to generous donations from members of our Bakehouse Board of Directors, we had the opportunity to learn with and from each other, while expanding our international networks.
We visited cultural and community spaces that are embedded in and connect to their respective communities, playing a significant role in the life of their neighborhoods 🌱
The timing of the trip coincided with the fellowship awarded to Cornelius, who is spending two months in Paris, as a Bakehouse x Cité internationale des arts laureate 👏
We are so grateful to the Consulate General of France in Miami for assisting us with a rich and robust agenda, especially its cultural attaché, Anthoni Dominguez.

We’re so excited to announce the second iteration of our collaboration with . The Windows Project gives the opportunity to create site-specific installations that contend with the ways consumerism and marketability can influence cultural production.
The second iteration of this partnership is an installation by architect and multi-disciplinary artist Gabriela García D’Alta. “Leftovers” builds upon her long-standing visual and aesthetic exploration of everyday objects, prompting viewers to reconsider their function and value 💭✍️
Gabriela’s installation is a testament to a moment of increasingly unbridled consumption, placing a spotlight not only on what is consumed, but also on what remains💡
