Do you know the difference between an uncontested and contested divorce?
🤝Uncontested divorces occur when both parties agree to all terms of the divorce. In this case, the parties can enter into a settlement agreement rather than going through sometimes costly and lengthy litigation.
👩⚖️On the other hand, contested divorces occur when parties are unable to reach an agreement on some or all of the issues. When this occurs, the parties go through the traditional litigation process where their issues will be determined by the Court.
