Today at Buddy Builders we made some delicious s’mores. We practiced how to follow directions, wait appropriately, take turns with friends and keep our body safe around hot items.

It’s spooky season! We had so much fun making creepy spiders out of Playdoh today at our Mini Builders learning program .
Some benefits of playing with playdoh include:
1. Develops fine motor skills and hand eye coordination
2. Emotional regulation through sensory play
3. Encourages creativity and supports social skills development through discussions and collaboration while creating.

“Don’t you work on challenging behaviors like tantrums ?” … Yes, we do but we do so much more!
Verbal behavior therapy is derived from the teachings of B.F Skinner and its the behavioral approach to language acquisition. Communication is a behavior and we work with all things behavior!
We join verbal behavior theories with other traditional ABA interventions to teach learners to imitate, request, label , ect.

Today we celebrate 8 years of bringing ABA services to some of the best learners in all of Miami!
We feel incredibly lucky to be able to come to work everyday , love what we do, and connect with such great families and staff.
As we reflect back on our growth, we feel so thankful that we have been able to continue to expand the ways which we can use our skills to help so many families and look forward to continue to find new ways to support this amazing community and mentor more compassionate and caring therapists in the field of applied behavior analysis.
Thank you to all our families for trusting us and to all our staff for supporting us. We are nothing without all of you!

PBBT turns 7 today! We’re so proud of the space we have created in the ABA community. A space where we provide compassionate, client-centered, evidence-based treatment for our learners in an environment that celebrates their uniqueness and individuality.

We go where the behaviors go! Community based sessions are great opportunities to teach independent living skills in the natural setting. The possibilities are endless but some goals that can be targeted are :
- learning currency to buy items
- Communicating effectively with sales associates
- Planning and ex*****on of buying gifts for family members
- Navigating crowded public places
- Planning enjoyable outings
Also, did we mention they are so much fun?!?!
