I met Paul Leone, CEO of Breakers Hotel, Palm Beach, last week, and it was a fantastic honor! (He stands between me and my buddy Lee in this pic). He’s such a humble guy despite his success. He inspires his employees, runs the iconic Palm Beach resort, and still made time for me at breakfast. Thanks for the great chat, Paul! Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Out with the old, in with the new. You were a good one, 2022.
Happy New Year’s! I can’t believe its already 2023! Time truly is flying and I encourage everybody to savor these moments of celebration and truly hold them close to your hearts. Go easy on the champagne and have a fantastic 2023!
Merry Christmas! With one week to go until the end of 2022, this is the best time to look back at the year that just flew by. I hope this past year has been one of health, happiness, and prosperity for you all and that next year is the best one yet! Happy Holidays to everybody and I hope you enjoy the most wonderful time of the year!
Happy Hanukkah! As the Jewish holiday of light, this is a time of happiness and celebration. I encourage everybody, Jewish or not, to get into the joyful spirit of this happy holiday season and take this time to celebrate life with friends and family.
I wish you all a safe and warm holiday with friends and family and look forward to a new year full of light!
Happy Holidays! I wanted to share a mission that is especially near and dear to my heart. Many are entirely unaware, but the City of Miami has some of the most underprivileged areas in Florida. Putting a smile on the faces of children is the giving spirit. That’s why I’ve organized a toy drive to help make their holiday a little bit brighter. 100% of your donation to this cause goes directly to purchase the toys for the children. Have a great holiday season and I look forward to this year’s toy drive. Thank you!
Among all the days we cherish as a country, Veteran’s Day strikes a particularly personal chord for me. As somebody who has had the unique blessing and opportunity to personally work with dozens of inspiring veterans, I have seen the impact that these incredible people have had on both our country and their communities. To me, this day represents a period of reflection and gratitude as I consider the undeniable impact that the sacrifices our veterans have made have had on our freedoms as a society. We should all take today to not only reflect, but celebrate, the achievements and contributions each and every one of our veterans have given to our unparalleled country. Thank you to all veterans, you are, without a doubt, the foundation upon which our entire republic stands.
TikTok is not your friend. At the very least, TikTok is not particularly concerned with protecting your privacy. Despite public promises from TikTok to ensure that American user data remains the the U.S., there have been several leaks over the last few years that say otherwise. If this is true, the CCP could use that information to undermine American interests on the global stage. Do you believe that TikTok is safe for the average American? Have you ever used TikTok? As the markets continue to tread through rough waters, both homebuyers and sellers now wonder where exactly they stand. Skyrocketing mortgage rates combined with low supply at high price points has resulted in a harsh market for any potential homebuyer. While buyer sentiment is generally down, there are still some bullish buyers that are finding opportunity in these conditions. Where do you think the housing market will be by the end of the year? Let me know in the comments below!

21 Years Ago, our great nation was struck by an unfathomable tragedy. Even today, the weight of the attacks on our homeland is still felt with tremendous gravity. As our weekends come to a close, I hope everybody takes a moment to reflect on the impact that this tragedy left on our country and take some time to appreciate those around you, now more than ever.
Happy Labor Day! This long weekend is a great time to kick back, relax, and enjoy some time off. It’s also a time to remember and appreciate American laborers, past and present, who help to build our great nation.
Even as the world faces uncertainty of all kinds, we must place our faith in our resilience, ingenuity, and proven success.
Wishing everybody a safe, fun Labor Day Weekend full of food, family, and friends!
Two days ago, the global community was shocked by the news of the passing of Mikhail Gorbachev, Former President of the Soviet Union. Yesterday, my husband David Webb, had the honor of interviewing Michael Reagan, son of the late President Ronald Reagan, on his show, where he spoke about the life of the man who was inextricably linked with his own father. Follow the link below to hear the words of Michael Reagan, a man with an indisputable insight into the lost global leader:

In a recent radio interview with SiriusXM Patriot David Webb, Florida House Speaker Chris Sprowls made his stance on education very clear. Making sure parents are the ones to educate their kids about complicated social topics is a priority, and ensuring it is the parents, not teachers, conveying this information is absolutely critical to him. Transparency in education is crucial; parents often don’t know what their kids are being taught for hours at a time and it’s important they have all pertinent information readily available.

Despite supply-chain bottlenecks, rampant inflation, skilled labor shortages, and growing mortgage rates, experts are cautiously hopeful about the future of the housing market. Lawrence Yun, the chief economist at the NAR, said, “The housing sector’s success will continue, but I don’t expect [2022’s] performance to exceed [2021’s].”
While NAHB Chief Economist Robert Dietz highlighted some of the challenges the housing market will face, the potential for future growth is undeniably there; from swaths of job openings to continued price growth, there remains hope in the future of the industry. “National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is battling government overreach again, this time firm in the belief that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) does not have the authority to issue an emergency temporary standard (ETS) requiring companies with more than 100 employees to mandate COVID-19 nation’s or weekly testing.” This mandate is a violation of our personal freedoms as Americans and is something the NAHB is passionately working to counteract. New Year, same old problem. The major supply chain issues that plagued 2021 have unfortunately persisted into 2022, with no end in sight. Thankfully, the NAHB is on the case as NAHB Chairman Chuck Fowke leads the charge in mitigating the consequences and finding effective solutions to this evolving crisis. Despite the increasingly evident effects on home prices, new-home construction has remained a bright spot for the economy and the NAHB intends to maintain this momentum as it works to address other economic shortcomings. Where do you think 2022 will take the economy? Only time will tell!

Housing affordability is taking yet another blow thanks to the Biden Administration’s tariff policies; Canadian lumber tariffs will now be DOUBLING from 9% to a staggering 17.9%. Although people throughout the nation are clearly struggling to find affordable housing options and the “Build Back Better” Campaign promised to provide solutions to affordable housing issues, the Biden Administration has made it abundantly clear that it simply does not care. If change is not brought about urgently, rampant inflation and unattainable housing prices will be just the start of our problems as a nation. Read more by following the link below to see just how serious this issue is for the future of our country.

“Those of you who were unborn …..who’ve lived in liberty……remember those who made it so on the shores of Normandy.”
As Jim Radford’s Song “The Shores of Normandy” best puts it, always remember who is responsible for the liberties we cherish today. The purpose of today is very clear. To me, Veteran’s Day is all about showing gratitude. I’m extremely passionate about making sure our veterans get the care and support they deserve for all of their contributions in making our country the pioneering, safe place it is today. I want to take this opportunity to thank any veteran who sees this post; your dedication and bravery are not unnoticed. Make it a point today to thank any veterans in your life and have a meaningful day.

On October 20th, NAHB Chairman Chuck Fowke testified before the House Small Business Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations regarding the historically high lumber and building material prices that continue to act as a major obstacle towards affordable housing throughout the US. Chairman Fowke identified two fundamental problems that Congress and the Biden administration would need to address to remedy this significant issue: duties on the import of building goods and materials and the continuous supply chains disruptions that have countless effects on development timelines and prices.

In the wake of the tragic Surfside building collapse, Florida legislators must make a major push to overhaul the state’s condominium laws. This includes ensuring proper reserves are in place for major safety repairs and more rigorous and frequent safety inspections. What happened at Surfside was an absolute travesty, we have to make sure this never happens again in the over 1.5 million condo units throughout the state of Florida. This Florida task force is working to hold local governments to a higher level of accountability in efforts to ensure infrastructural safety throughout the state. Although the Biden Administration has made efforts to address affordable housing, the NAHB has a few major points of contention it believes would make these efforts far more effective. “The plan puts too much emphasis on government solutions and nonprofit organizations at the expense of private enterprise”; believing in the private sector to find new, ingenious solutions to this major challenge is absolutely critical.
More action is urgently needed to address many of the pressing crises in our nation, from the availability of skilled laborers to an updated housing finance system to repairing building material supply chains to reducing regulatory barriers that result in elevated costs of construction. These are just a few of the most significant issues that the NAHB is actively working to remedy; make sure to keep following these topics to see how they unfold!

For the last year, the Federal Reserve has shouldered a significant burden in supporting the housing market through COVID-19, the 2020 recession, and the continued recovery that has ensued. On September 22nd, the Fed announced plans to progressively reduce these purchases in hopes of spurring maximum employment and price stability in the markets. The Fed also changed several projections and metrics as the inflation and supply shortages continue to cause uncertainty. Do you think the Fed should stay involved? Leave a comment with your thoughts on the matter below!

The markets have been no stranger to supply chain disruptions caused by COVID-19; from lumber to aluminum, there have been shortages left and right throughout the construction industry. Now, America’s largest homebuilders are warning that these major shortages have and will continue to lead to significant delays in housing deliveries throughout the country. Both land and construction supply chains are experiencing significant stress, with the potential for more issues on the horizon. Only time will tell, but let’s continue to hope for a rapid market recovery as supply chains swiftly get back in order.
