Amsterdam Falafelshop, right here in South Miami, means the world to me. I'm Shiv, and I wear multiple hats here as the owner and operator of the last Amsterdam Falafelshop franchise store. I do it all, the cooking, the prep, the shopping, the marketing and even all the necessary fixing to keep the store operational. My journey with this place began when I started as an employee, but it quickly transformed into something much more profound.

I learned the ins and outs of running and operating the store by following the tried-and-true business model. To many, this might just be a restaurant, but for me, it's my sense of purpose every single day. It's where I wake up, come in, and prepare and serve good, healthy food with pride.

In recent months, our business has faced tough times, much like many other establishments in South Miami. The area has seen a decline in economic activity, and we're no exception. We're grappling to keep the lights on and the falafels frying.

Amsterdam Falafelshop isn't just a restaurant to me, it's a labor of love and a place where I've grown both personally and professionally. It's a testament to our commitment to serving not just tasty food but also a sense of community.

Despite the challenges, I'm determined to keep the spirit of Amsterdam Falafelshop alive in South Miami, and I'm grateful for every customer who supports us during these difficult times.
