Exciting day for the skaters receiving trophies for this years South Florida Compete USA Series! Hard work has paid off for these kids! The skaters pictured here competed in all three of the Series competitions held at three South Florida ice arenas! Those of you who were not able to attend have trophies waiting for you in the skating academy office!

Stay tuned for information about the Nutcracker on Ice at Kendall Ice Arena! Performances will be held on December 14 & 15! Always a favorite around the Holiday Season with exciting group numbers, solos, and duets starring the Kendall Ice Arena Skating Academy! Registration and rehearsals will begin very soon!

CORAL Springs, Fla. -- Fans brought out their best cookware to cheer on the Cuban American men's team at the Amerigol LATAM Cup on Sunday.
The team, which was making its first appearance in the tournament, responded to the enthusiastic clanging of pots and pans with a 4-3 victory against Greece to win the men’s Division I championship at the Florida Panthers IceDen. The win came two days after the Cuban American men's team lost 5-2 to Greece during pool play .
Forward Nicholas Amaya scored the game-winning goal with 8:56 remaining, and Tyler Terranova was named the game's most
valuable player after making 33 saves.

Team Cuba tropical hockey is preparing for Amerigol LATAM cup August 21-26

The Cuba tropicals hockey team representing their Cuban American roots in the LATAM cup.
24 players were selected from a nation wide search with players having to prove their Cuban heritage
And calling Kendall ice arena their home rink!

MIAMI TOROS NEWS:
The Miami Toros 8-10-12/u and adult teams traveled to
Nashville to participate in the fifth annual "Make a Wish Cup".
The Toros 8/u took second place. The 10/-12/u and adult played some tough games but lost in the playoffs. The teams and families got to know each other to prepare for the 24-25 season.

The 2024 Final Placement Trophy Results are in and available at basicskillsflorida.com! What a wonderful season! The trophies have been ordered and will be awarded at each participating arena. The date and time for your award ceremony will be posted at your rink. See you all next year!
