This past Thursday, Lovebytwm along with Honey Shine and OYC Miami staff, as well as participants, came out and attended the fundraiser mixer at the . Proceeds from this event raised money for our program and support our mission to empower and enlighten young girls.

Summer is almost here and that means Camp Honey Shine. ☀️ We are so excited and cannot wait to see our honey bugs!😃

During camp our girls participate in an immersive summer filled with motivation, empowerment and educational activities and STEM! We provide summer filled with great activities that help our honey bugs aspire to shine!

This program aims to uplift and inspire young girls to prioritize their well-being and make positive choices for a brighter future to shine. ✨💛

Our Honey Bugs continued their college tours by visiting . As they explored the campus and engaged with faculty members, our girls gained valuable insights into the educational environment and career pathways available at this renowned university. These tours are a vital part to preparing in teaching our girls how to aspire to shine! ✨ 💛🐞​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

….and they are off... Our Honey Bugs are ready to aspire to shine during our Spring Break College Tour. Our Honey Bugs departed from in Miramar to begin their adventure of exploring different colleges in Florida. 🚍​​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​​Our girls will learn about college life and get a first-hand experience as they visit different colleges. What better way to show our girls about college than by showing them? Stay tuned as we share the wonderful eye-opening experiences our girls will have all week long. 💛📚🏫

Today we highlight the incredible Georgette Madison, a shining example of empowerment and dedication! 🌟 ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Georgette, a 2013 alumna of Lotus House, has been a beacon of light for 8 years, starting as an Assistant Operations Manager and now excelling in multiple roles. She's a mentor, role model, and a true asset to our team, engaging and uplifting hundreds at Lotus House. Her daughter Alana Johnson, a proud member of OYC since second grade, is now thriving in 10th grade at Edison Senior High School. The legacy of empowerment continues! 💛✨

Sisterhood …. Togetherness…and … Unity …were the lessons that our Honey Bugs learned during the day of Sisterhood at .

A day filled with sisterhood, our honey bugs along with girls from learned about friendship and the meaning of sisterhood. The girls had a chance to participate in rewarding sisterhood activities, become their very own Barbie and learned how to work together - all which showed true “Girl Power!”

This women's history month, Honey Shine is highlighting women whose work lights a torch of excellence. 💡​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Our first is Tracy Wilson Mourning. Tracy believes in leading with love, whether she’s fulfilling her role as a devoted mother, philanthropist, or mentor, using her gifts as a designer, broadcast journalist, motivational speaker, and writer. ✨

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tracy is a proud graduate of Howard University and a proud and active member of the Miami Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. ✨

A staunch advocate for women's rights, she credits a higher power for ordering her steps and guiding her life’s legacy. ✨

Follow Honey Shine all month long as we recognize women who are change-makers and impact-makers. 🦋

Our Honey Bugs had a super-ific time at Super Saturday this past weekend. ✨🦸🏻‍♀️🦸🏽‍♀️​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Will Prince from Greenspoon Marder Law kicked off the amazing day with an ice cream social and a mentoring session. 🍨

The Children’s Bereavement Center helped our girls celebrate the memory of a loved one by creating and personalizing bracelets and rocks to honor those they have lost. 💛

Our Honey Bugs also prepared for our upcoming Black History Show on Thursday, February 29th, at Booker T. Washington by practicing their dance moves. 💃🏽
