When flight attendants put on their uniform and go for a flight, they report for duty, agreeing that they will not only smile and offer a service and contribute to passenger comfort, but they will also put their life on the line when duty calls to protect those on board their aircraft.

Throughout the history of commercial aviation, we have seen heroic examples of flight attendants that have paid the ultimate sacrifice shielding their passengers from danger during evacuations, crashes, in-flight emergencies, and hijackings. Even after these countless heroic actions, our profession is still often diminished to glorified sky servers.

Don't be fooled by our smiles, high heels, lipstick, and pleasant dispositions: when things get real, so do we!

Here's to all the unique, kind, generous, friendly, extraordinary, and brave sky heroes called flight attendants (cabin crew)!
