1️⃣ Offshore Storage Ban: No more storing electronic health records outside the U.S., territories, or Canada for healthcare providers using certified technologies.

2️⃣ Ownership Disclosures: More transparency required in healthcare ownership.

👩‍⚕️ Failing a pre-employment drug test for a nursing position can be a significant setback. Here's what you need to know:

👉 Drug tests are a standard part of the pre-employment process for nurses.
👉 False positives can occur, especially if you're taking prescription drugs.
👉 Nurses who fail drug tests may be required to attend rehabilitation or report to the Intervention Project for Nurses (IPN).
👉 The IPN is a case management program recognized by the Board of Nursing.
👉 Nurses in the IPN must adhere to a strict contract, including monitoring, counseling, and drug testing.
👉 Failing to meet IPN requirements can lead to disciplinary action, including losing your nursing license.
👉 If you receive correspondence from the Department of Health, you may need to relinquish your license temporarily.
👉 Presenting your case to the Probably Cause Panel is necessary, and preparation is CRITICAL.
👉 Potential outcomes from the Board of Nursing include fines, reprimands, evaluations, or even license revocation.
