"The Board of the 1000 Islands Charity Poker Run couldn’t be prouder of the success of this year’s event. Together with our sponsors, participants, volunteers, and spectators, we have surpassed last year’s fundraising total. Today, we announced our donation of $250,000 to the Make-A-Wish team of Central New York! This amount will enable 25 wishes to be granted. We are helping to grant wishes to children with critical illnesses, giving them a chance to forget their ailments, if only for a short time. Wishes not only increase hope but have also been proven to improve the children’s physical and emotional health. We are making the impossible possible and giving them hope for better days ahead. ICON Expands its Innovative Platform to Enhance Provider Experience

ICON is thrilled to announce the continued expansion of our cutting-edge platform, now utilized by the majority of our providers for time and expense submissions. Starting this August, we are rolling out new features designed to streamline and secure professional documentation management.

Providers will soon have the capability to securely store all their professional documentation within the platform. This enhancement not only ensures the safety of important documents but also provides timely notifications for upcoming expirations. Providers can easily share their information with designated recipients and access all facility credentialing forms with ease.

In our commitment to further improve provider convenience, we are developing a robust scheduling module. This feature will grant providers enhanced visibility and control over their schedules. Additionally, we are excited to introduce a mobile app, empowering providers to submit time entries, view calendars, and manage documentation directly from their smartphones.

On Tuesday, August 27, the American College of Health Professionals of MA (ACHE) and the Massachusetts Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA) Presents: Improving Your Bottom Line: Anesthesia Models Are the Answer.

Speakers Melissa Picceri Croad, MSNA, CRNA, APRN and Tracy Paul Young, MSNA, MBA, CRNA will explore suggested changes in anesthesia staffing models that limit service duplication, increase care access, and reduce costs. They will also review evidence demonstrating the cost-effectiveness and safety of CRNA anesthesia-driven anesthesia care model and discuss strategies to assist centers in navigating federal and state regulatory requirements, bylaws and policies, and the business case for implementing the EDAM.

Earlier this month, Massachusetts officially became the 25th state to opt out of federal regulations requiring physician supervision of CRNAs.

Patients across the state now have increased access to anesthesia care. For those in rural settings, where CRNAs are the primary anesthesia providers, this change is especially welcome.

Massachusetts Patients Now Have Increased Access to Anesthesia Care - AANA - American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology Massachusetts is the latest to opt out from federal regulations that require physician supervision of CRNAs.

Men are less likely to speak to each about health concerns, but sharing stories and spreading awareness is necessary to help catch and combat so many diseases and other health concerns.
