With the summer Olympics just around the corner, I thought it would be a good time to share this video again. It’s been a few years, but the information is still really relevant and helpful! In 2016, I was invited to Channel 3000 Live, to do a demonstration and give a brief explanation of cupping therapy. At the time, there was a lot of curiosity about it after Micheal Phelps and other Olympic athletes had cupping marks on their bodies during competition. For me, it was a really fun and unique experience to talk about one aspect of the medicine I love practicing!
Thanks to Olympian Michael Phelps, we're asking 'What is cupping?' Live at Four tries out cupping after Michael Phelps' dark red spots went viral during Sunday night's Olympic swimming events.

There are quite a few different illnesses going around this holiday season! With so many gatherings and exposures, I have decided to exercise caution and wear a mask during my clinical time at Cloud 9 this weekend. As always, you are welcome to wear a mask or skip it, depending on your personal health and preferences. Thank you for understanding!
Happy Holidays from our family to yours! Wishing everyone peace, love, and happiness this season and always!
WINTER SOLSTICE GREETINGS from Ojai Ohana:
The shortest day, longest night in the Northern Hemisphere - Winter begins !
In the Chinese Taoist tradition, Winter Solstice is the most Yin moment- the stillness, darkness, then gives way to Yang with daylight increasing.
Taoists believe: We need times of darkness, quiet, stillness, healing and rest, as much as we need activity, noise, and light. Traditional Chinese medicinal practices are essentially based on this.
The word solstice translates from Latin “Sun standing still” ... the seasonal movement of the Sun’s daily path (as seen from Earth) pauses at a northern or southern limit before reversing direction.
In the Southen Hemisphere, this day is the Summer Solstice - longest day of the year.
The solstices & equinoxes are the natural changes of the four seasons on earth. Before institutionalized religions & governments were dominant, the Winter Solstice was commonly celebrated by ancient cultures such as the Inca, the Maya, the Maori, the Egyptians, & Druids (just to name a few). Mid-winter celebrations such as Yul & Saturnalia formed the basis of modern religious Winter holidays, with concepts of bringing light out of the darkness.
Enjoy the quiet, stillness, peace, & tranquility as we mark & honor the long, dark, night.
Setting up my weekend intention with these beautiful cards from Sometimes a gentle reminder is all you need to shift your mindset! What do you need? Ask the universe for it!
The traffic on my commute to was intense this morning!
Hello! We wanted to let everyone know that we are now incorporating (if desired) a gentle bell sound to the end of our acupuncture sessions at Cloud 9. The soft sound of this bell is a wonderful way to bring mindfulness back after acupuncture. We hope you will agree!
😴🥱🙂
“Listening to the bell I feel the afflictions in me begin to dissolve. My mind becomes calm, my body relaxed, and a smile is born on my lips. Following the sound of the bell, my breath guides me back to the safe island of mindfulness. In the garden of my heart, the flower of peace blooms beautifully.”

I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful snow day!
“Butterflies are nature’s angels. They remind us what a gift it is to be alive.” -Robyn Nola
“Today marks a very special energy balancing day- the Equinox. The Equinox is the time when yin and yang energies move into balance for a brief moment before either Yin or Yang energy becomes stronger and stronger, depending on where you are in the World. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, we are heading into Autumn. Yin energy is rising, so this is a time to go within, let go of what you do not need, and begin to reflect on the growth and harvest of the past year.” -Chunyi Lin
