CT State Middlesex
Part of the 12 community colleges that make up CT State, serving students throughout Connecticut.
CT State Middlesex, formerly known as Middlesex Community College, located in Middletown, CT, awards associate degrees in more than 80 areas of studies, and also offers short-term career and personal development programs.
On July 31, CT State Middlesex hosted 26 engaged Meriden high school students as part of the GEAR UP initiative. The students attended classes in Forensics, College and Career Success, and Group Dynamics. Denzel Quinones, a Maloney High student, appreciated the hands-on lab experience. “The partnership between Middlesex and Meriden Public Schools is a true collaborative effort,” added Kaara Koplowitz, who oversees the program. The GEAR UP grant program is focused on increasing the college and career readiness of low-income students throughout high school and college. Find out more > https://www.gearupct.com/

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cans-4-A-Cause for their generous donations of $1,000 and $500 to the MxCC Foundation in support of the Magic Food Bus pantry. These contributions are instrumental in helping the pantry continue to provide essential resources to students in need. The $500 amount is a result of the redeemable cans sorted by Middlesex volunteers at the Travelers Championship event in June. The generosity of Cans-4-A-Cause, led by alum Jeff Myjak, not only addresses immediate needs but also enhances the sense of community on campus.
