JFS services include:
-The Friendly Visitor Program which connects seniors over 60 with volunteers who provide transportation to local medical appointments, help with grocery shopping, in home visits and wellness calls.
-Case Management to provide older adults with Information, referrals, and connections to available community supports and guidance with financial security.

Jfs Orange Senior Independence Program and Newburgh Friends of Seniors is looking for volunteers to help with local transportation for adults over 60, help with grocery shopping and wellness calls and friendly visits. Think Differently, Orange County, New York

Mission:
The mission of OCTD (Orange County Think Differently) is to fulfill the promise of a community where all people can fully participate, are valued for their unique contributions, and can achieve their dreams.

What organizations make up Orange County Think Differently?
OCTD is a collaboration of nonprofit and governmental agencies, a variety of schools and community-based organizations, and Orange County Departments including the Orange County Executive's Office, Human Rights, Departments of Mental Health and Social Services, Office for the Aging, Parks, Tourism, Human Rights, and Youth Bureau.

What does Orange County Think Differently do?
Representatives from the member organizations of OCTD work together to identify ways to make Orange County's schools and businesses more accessible for individuals of all abilities when engaging in services, programs, and events. Members also encourage all Orange County residents to embrace inclusivity and acceptance.

Members work collaboratively to recognize and celebrate what is working well and identify areas that could use improvement to better serve Orange County's youth and adults.
