We’re at it again!! As most of you know breast cancer has hit my family twice. My sister lost her battle in 1999 and my mom in 2012. My friend , and Channings mom Leslie are survivors just to name a few. So every October I like to do something to remember those we’ve lost, honor those that have survived and support those that are fighting! I also want to remind my friends and loved ones to get checked and stay ahead of breast cancer by getting your mammograms and doing self checks. And guys, that means you too. Breast cancer doesn’t just hit women!! Starting October 1st Channing and I will be offering “Pink strands for hope” we have pink extensions and pink tinsel this year for $20 each! All proceeds go to a local nonprofit that provides support to cancer patients in the Permian Basin💕

So much is happening! If you haven’t been in to check out the updated look in the shop we hope you’ll stop by soon!
We also want to welcome Channing Parks to All About Hair! She’s bringing some great knowledge on vivid colors and men’s haircuts! She’s taking new clients folks so give us a call to get on her books!

What a year! It’s brought so much change into all of our lives. Some good, some bad, some absolutely crazy! As one of our 90 year old clients said “I never dreamed I’d be living in a world where I have to wear a mask and I can’t see my loved ones!”
Well, with that being said, Lora and I have said many times that we didn’t want to own a salon at our ages but guess what?!?!? God had other plans! In April, when the shut down hit salons Willie and Pat Eaves decided it was time to step back from ownership of All About Hair. It’s been 4 years since Mr. Eaves retired from behind the chair and well, “it was just time.”
Lora has worked with Mr. Eaves for nearly 30 years, I’ve been with him for 26 years and Lolly for 20!! We are more than coworkers, we are family! Pat and Willie have taught us the ins and outs of the hair industry, how to build and maintain a clientele but most of all, they have shown us to always honor God in all we do! We couldn’t be more grateful for the two of them and their family! Determined to keep the three of us girls working together, with the love, support and prayers of the Eaves and their girls, Lora and I jumped in and took over ownership of All About Hair! We are so excited for this adventure together and look forward to honoring Mr. Eaves as we carry on the business!
We want to thank each of our clients, friends and family for all the love and support during these crazy times! Without you guys we certainly could not have made it!
The rest of this crazy year we plan on slowly changing out lighting, painting and doing a little updating to keep up with our growing clientele! We ask that you please ignore the extra chaos and mess and be patient with us through the process of freshening up the place! We are super excited to make these changes and hope that they will make your visits with us a little brighter!

💖It’s that time of the year again! I’m doing pink extensions for breast cancer awareness. It’s a great way to open up conversation and to remind each other of the importance of monthly self exams and yearly mammograms!
The extensions are $15 each and all the money will go to Gifts of Hope!

I apologize for the delay if this post. I thought it had posted so I have no idea where the first post went!!
Woohoo! We are so excited that Governor Abbott has worked salons barber shops into this next phase of opening up Texas!!! We are also a bit overwhelmed with everything that’s going on in our world and at All About Hair. It’s taken us a bit to process things and wrap our minds around it all!
As much as we would like for each of you to be our first client when we open, that’s just not possible! Please be patient as we get in touch with each of you! We are trying our best to get ahold of everyone and get you on our books!

TDLR released some important guidelines and suggestions for us yesterday afternoon and now we can move forward with a little bit more knowledge of what is expected of us and what is suggested.

The most important things that aren’t really new to us but they are asking us to do are all the enhanced sanitation rules. We will be sanitizing E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. between each client. This will take us 10-15 minutes so please be patient with us!

We are each allowed 1 client in the salon at a time and the clients are asked not to bring anyone with them. This includes your children which we know can be hard but take this time as a break for you and enjoy getting pampered!

With no waiting allowed and only one client per stylist we ask that you text your stylist or call the salon when you arrive and we will let you know when to come in!

We have soap and paper towels in the break room and we ask that you wash your hands when you arrive in the salon! We also have hand sanitizer available while your in the salon.

While masks and gloves are NOT mandatory we want you all to feel safe! If you are more comfortable wearing a mask feel free to bring it and rock that mask! Also if would prefer your stylist wearing a mask please let us know as we will do whatever makes your visit more comfortable!

If you have had any symptoms of COVID-19 we ask you to please reschedule your appointment. This includes,
Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, feeling feverish or have a measured temperature greater than 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit or have had known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19

This virus came quick, it all was a shock.

We’ll miss the colors and cuts and highlights.
We’ll miss the long talks and the working late nights.

We’ll miss the curling irons and hair on the floors
But we’ll be back when we can reopen our doors.

Our hearts are still in there, behind the chair,
We can’t wait to get back and touch up your hair.

Your health and your safety is always number one.
As long as you stay well, hair can wait to be done.

Your roots may be gray, your highlights grown out,
But that can be fixed, without a doubt.

It is with a heavy heart that effective April 2nd we will have to close our salon until further notice. 😢

All About Hair is open
by appointment only!

• Please be patient with us as we up our sanitation game! We always have safety and sanitation rules that we follow but will also need to follow all recommendations from the CDC. So if we’re running even more behind than usual please forgive us!
• We understand your kids are out of school but we are asked by the state and city leaders to limit the size of gatherings. That being said we ask that you not bring anyone with you that will not be getting a haircut or other service. Remember, a lot of our clients are older and we want to keep everyone safe!
• If you have been out of the country in the last month, we are asking you to please postpone your appointment for at least 3 weeks.
• If you or anyone in your family have had the flu, bronchitis, or any contagious illnesses please reschedule your appointment for 2-3 weeks after you have recovered.

I’ve been asked if I plan on working this week so felt I should update my clients and friends!
As of right now I will be working Tuesday-Saturday this week and as long as TDLR allows us to remain open.
I will help you remain as healthy as possible by upping the sanitation in the salon.
We plan on following all guidance from national and local health organizations
• Continuing to adhere to cleaning and sanitation procedures
• Increasing the frequency of cleaning, especially high-touch areas such as touchscreens, doorknobs and counters, chairs etc.
Having a compromised immune system and be asthmatic myself and seeing how, as a salon in whole, we service older clients and clients that also have compromised immune systems we ask that if you have traveled out of country in the last month please contact us to reschedule your appointment.
Also, If you have had the flu,bronchitis,or any other contagious illness please reschedule when you are symptom free.
If we all work together we can help get this virus to go!!

While we will most certainly miss him behind the chair we so very thankful to have him and Pat continue to own All About Hair.
