Coming Soon to Midland: Tapestry Hotel Midland

As previously shared coming to downtown Midland, this boutique hotel will bring 80 rooms, restaurant and bar focusing on a hyper local theme

Midland City Council approved the hotel today making way for the first new hotel in downtown Midland is several decades.

Renovating the 112. S Loraine Building and adding a new 12-story tower (rendering currently only shows 6-story tower) will take place over the next few years.

Also featured will be The Mid-Way Mexican Steakhouse which pays tribute to the original name of Midland as a train stop.

Midland, Texas- City Council voted 7-0 in a historic majority approving the Tapestry Hotel in Downtown Midland.

The decision was made October 10th during the city council meeting. The property owner of the hotel site is LSBrentway LLC, a local family with over 25 years business experience in West Texas.
For decades Midlanders have wanted a new hotel downtown to serve travelers who come to the Tall City for business and pleasure.

The president of Escamilla Media, Al Escamilla says this is an exciting time as the new hotel will benefit our community in more ways than one.

"This is a win for our community. The hyperlocal hotel will support local businesses, create long term jobs Downtown plus generate tax dollars for MISD and the Hospital district. We are also excited to bring an upscale option for travelers choosing to visit our beautifully revised Downtown. We are grateful to the City Council for its commitment to investing within our own community."

The Hotel will be located at 112 S. Loraine Street near the Bush Convention Center.
