We are excited to announce our Summer Kids’ Art Class schedule with our new instructor, Thais Ahlstrand. Classes for ages 9 - 12 are available June-September on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. $20 .00 per session due at the beginning of each month. Linda has had fun working in several art media. Here are a few of her watercolors. She has brought her talent and sense of humor to our adult classes and private lessons through the years.

We are so blessed to have youngsters join us and continue studying with us in their teens. Meredith is one of those special artists.

Recently animals have been a fun subject matter for many of our students.

We want you to meet Dorothy. She loves to work in oils and do paintings for her grandchildren. Her talent allows her to work realistically as well as abstractly.

Valerie has explored several media. She loves color and sharing her paintings with others. Her excitement has often lead classmates into giving new techniques a try.

We want to introduce you to Dolores. She has found that working with pastel on velour is her favorite media.

We would like for you to meet Rachel. Here is a look back at her work. After working with various media, she has found that acrylics and textured application makes her heart sing.

Join our ArtQuest artists, Diane and Geoff Browne, at the Shared Spaces opening on December 6th at 5:30 to 7pm. Their work is displayed on the first and second floors. Shared Spaces is at 3500 North A Street in Midland, TX.

For a couple of days in October, our kids explored doing crayon resist by drawing from a still life of heirloom pumpkins and eating mandarin oranges. They did large drawings with a heavy application of crayon and then painted across it with black tempura watching the paint be repelled by the crayon. They had a great time and now have hands on understanding of how a resist technique works. I hope that you enjoy seeing their work and maybe try it yourself.
