Safe sleep recommendations have always stated that children should sleep in a crib or bassinet with a firm mattress and tight fitting sheet, NOT in car seats or infant seats. Thirteen infant deaths between 2009 and 2021 have now been tied to sleeping in Fisher-Price Infant-to-Toddler and Newborn-to-Toddler rockers. We urge all of our families to always place their babies to sleep in a crib or bassinet on their backs whether it be for naps or at bedtime.
