Thanks so much to the PNW north and south of the border for 4 years of fun and support! Boards can still be shipped over, and orders can still be placed, but we won't be local...at least not for a while. We plan to hold shaping camps in the PNW and Hawaii, so stay tuned for hopeful dates.

Jason's self shape. Jason had a good idea of what he wanted his first self shape to be, and he didn't pretty good it making it happen. A nice army green for a special forces vet. Fun working with you on this one.

This is the last we'll be making in the PNW for while (keeping reading to know why).
It's a copy of I bought his used alleutian juice originally made for from a few years ago. I knew the rails weren't my style, but I loved the outline, and the price was good. I've always wanted to make my own version of it for a personal board. So this is it. I made it from a damaged blank that didn't quite fit the original. So this board has a much higher tail rocker than Parmenters. I also made this board longer and wider. The original specs of the Aleutian juice are 5'7" x 19.5" x 2.25 my specs are 5'9.5" x 20 x 2.25.
The Aleutian juice has. "Flat" foil with full hard rails. And a slight single concave that goes into a little double concave. Its a fast and "squirty" board, but doesnt dig into the wave in the way i like. My version has slightly pinched rails but I kept some of parmenters boxy design in it nearer to the apex, and softened the edge just a bit. I also added some deck concave to give it responsiveness and balance out the softened rails/edges. I kept the bottom contours subtle, with single to double, but gave double concave more distinct channel-like concave. Ultimately my goal was to make keep similar responsiveness in this board as the original while giving it more pinched rails. .... we will see later if this was accomplished.
It was a rushed last minute project to use up materials as I prepare to move and bring TPB with me. It's definitely got some rushed errors, but overall happy with it. Fin boxes and sanding will be done at our new location....

Through obscurity.
Surfing is so much about finding the unknown, and keeping it secret, so that the crowds dont show up and make the purpose of surfing mute and dull. The christian gospel is actually pretty similar...Jesus spoke in parables so "those with 'ears' could hear" and those without ears wouldn't... There's a delicate line between surfing and 'surfing' and there's also a thin line between belief and 'beleif'.
Life is lived through the obsure.
