I have an ask…

I would like 100 Black men and boys to show up at our FREE yoga class at the art museum this Sunday at 11am. Will you help me get the word out?

Why am I asking for this?

Black men stand to benefit tremendously from practicing yoga (physically, mentally and emotionally). But the yoga community (myself included) haven’t done the best job of letting Black men know that yoga is for them too.

This Sunday will be different.

THIS Sunday, they’ll be surrounded by other Black men doing yoga. The instructor is also a Black man who specializes in teaching yoga to Black men.

It’s going to be beautiful.

If there is a Black man (or boy) in your life, please bring them to our FREE yoga class at the art museum THIS Sunday from 11am-12pm. They will need a mat or blanket to practice on. No registration is required. Just show up, park and walk around to the back of the museum and join us on the grass facing Lake Michigan.

P.S. This picture is from a yoga class for Black men that I led a few years ago called Real Kings Do Yoga at my teacher’s studio, YogaOne. In addition to yoga, they received blood pressure checks. It was a beautiful experience.

P.P.S. This Sunday’s class at the Art Museum class is open to ALL. Women and others are welcome to come too I just would love to see a lot of Black men there as well 🤗
