Badgerland Striders x WLHS Cross Country 👟🏃‍♀️

➡️ The Wisco Girls Cross Country team demonstrated great leadership skills at a Badgerland Striders 5K fun run! They led warm ups and started the pack of nearly 100 runners as they ran through different Milwaukee neighborhoods and the Miller Valley.

The Badgerland Striders Running Club is an area running group with members of all ages. 👟

Rebecca Nault, a parent of one of our runners, said, "Despite the heat and humidity they demonstrated their skills as runners to push through. The Badgerland Striders were thrilled to have the girls there." 😁

Do you need a referral for Physical Therapy?

Let’s keep it simple, no, you do not need a referral at MKE Physical Therapy.

As a profession physical therapy has moved towards a doctorate degree since 2005. The goal was to allow for direct access to physical therapy without a script from a primary care provider being required. It also provided the necessary education to know when a physical therapist can treat and when they can’t treat and should refer to the physician if there are concerning findings that are out of the scope of the Physical Therapist.

Wisconsin is one of 26 states that allow direct patient access to Physical therapy.
Direct Access is a legal provision in Wisconsin that allows a licensed physical therapist to evaluate and treat a patient without obtaining a prescription or a referral from a physician.

What does this mean for you? It means you don’t have to make an appointment with your primary physician and pay the cost, often over $200 -$300 even with insurance, to tell you to see a Physical Therapist. This benefit saves you both time and money.
