We are very excited to announce the release of the first single off our upcoming R.A.R.E.ities album, “Rap Phenomenon”.

The idea for this album came about when we were compiling our tracks for permanent online distribution a little over a year ago. Outside of our three proper album releases, we realized there were a significant amount of songs that were either never released, or only put on one platform and never got the full proper promotional push. In the effort to accurately tell our story and preserve the legacy of our band, it felt like these songs deserved their own place to complete the picture of what R.A.R.E. stood for, and meant for so many. So we redoubled efforts to track down all remaining demos, tributes, features and solo tracks that we felt best represented our group and our individual members that were in keeping with the R.A.R.E. ethos. This album is a result of those efforts. Some of the songs may be familiar to you, some you may be hearing for the first time. But for the very first time ever, all the tracks will be available in one album, distributed across all streaming platforms for generations to come.

To give these tracks the proper promotional due, we will be releasing several tracks as singles prior to the release of the full R.A.R.E.ities album. We hope that they will serve as both a time capsule of what the band was, while also telling a previously unknown story of the group. The first of those is ‘Rap Phenomenon’ and this is its story:

“Rap Phenomenon was originally written for the MTV Rap Olympics back in the early 2000’s. This was the same competition that launched Eminem's career and got him discovered by Dr. Dre. R.A.R.E had just won the midwest region & was headed to New York to compete in the national finals. It would be their first ever appearance in the city of New York, (considered to be the birthplace of Hip Hop in America), a realization of a childhood dream for the group. This was to be their signature song and ticket to opportunity beyond Milwaukee. Sadly, that dream would never be realized as the competition was abruptly and unexpectedly canceled. Shortly thereafter the group went on a hiatus & this song was shelved. Until NOW! Back in action and being heard for the 1st time, in almost 20 years! We present to you, Rap Phenomenon.”
