We are thrilled to nominate Katie, recognizing her outstanding contributions since joining us in March 2020. Katie’s background in the restaurant sector seamlessly translated into her role, where she excels in providing top-notch service to our residents. Her enthusiasm is evident in her interactions with potential and current residents, finding joy in witnessing the excitement of new tenants receiving their keys.

Katie quickly distinguished herself in Mandel's new leasing incentive program, achieving Silver Status in July 2023 and being the first person to reach Gold Status by April 2024. She also played a crucial role in leasing up Crescent Apartments nine months ahead of proforma and Hackney House a full year ahead of schedule. Katie’s participation in the Leasing to Leadership Program has further contributed to her growth and success, and her journey has been marked by significant milestones and challenges, which she has navigated with grace and determination.

Day 7 of highlighting our deserving TOBY Awards nominees! Today we highlight DoMUS for their nomination for Property Excellence under 150 Units.

DoMUS is a recent addition to Milwaukee’s riverfront, completing one of the last remaining segments on the Riverwalk’s east shore with 132 upscale apartment homes. Designed in collaboration with HGA Architects and Engineers, DoMUS offers a premier address for those looking to call the Third Ward home. Initially stationed at River’s Edge until October 2021, she then transitioned to The Corners, where she has continued to excel. With a background in teaching and extensive leasing experience, Chris brings a unique perspective to her role. She values communication and collaboration, considering herself a team leader rather than a boss, and is always ready to assist both the office and maintenance teams.

Despite not having an assistant manager, Chris efficiently manages all the responsibilities of the community, from handling bills and delinquency to coordinating maintenance tasks. Her ability to maintain strong working relationships and create enjoyable experiences for residents has transformed the community into a lively and connected environment. Chris Gulick’s dedication, leadership, and innovative approach to community building make her a deserving candidate for the Community Manager of the Year award, significantly enhancing the quality of life for residents and the overall success of the property.

His journey from being taught to becoming a mentor highlights his passion for sharing knowledge with others, including curious residents, and reflects his dedication to excellence in maintenance.

Ethan has been a rock for Hackney House, providing much-needed stability during transitions between three Maintenance Supervisors in just three years. His ability to handle increased responsibilities and maintain high service standards has been crucial in ensuring smooth operations and resident satisfaction. His leadership in overseeing a 302-unit HVAC project and his proactive approach to emergency repairs further showcase his expertise and reliability. Ethan’s perfectionism, friendly demeanor, and effective communication have earned him the trust and confidence of residents, contributing to a positive living environment.

Her growth and development within the Mandel Group are remarkable, having rapidly ascended to the assistant manager position at Taxco just six months into her tenure. Notably, Sierra was a participant in Mandel Group's inaugural Leasing to Leadership program, which highlighted her potential and leadership qualities early on. Today, we highlight Antonio Rivera, Maintenance Supervisor at Park Lafayette Towers, and his nomination for the Maintenance Associate of the Year award. Antonio joined Mandel’s team in 2016 and has distinguished himself in numerous ways since then. Promoted to Park Lafayette from a smaller site in the fall of 2021, Antonio has embraced several challenges and taken on significant responsibilities. He has been instrumental in the success of recent and ongoing renovations at Park Lafayette, which include updating all common areas, reconfiguring the leasing center, installing eco-friendly fixtures throughout the property, and orchestrating a booster pump replacement project. His hands-on approach and attention to detail have ensured the high standards of the community are maintained.

Additionally, Antonio has created informative YouTube videos for residents, demonstrating basic maintenance techniques and easy fixes, which have been well-received and appreciated by the community. His dedication, innovative approach, and proactive communication have significantly contributed to enhancing the living experience at Park Lafayette Towers.
