The Diplomat wasn’t built in a day. 6 years ago today, we officially opened. Small budget, small menu, small plates but let’s face it; it’s the little things; and over the years it’s those little things that have added up. Thank you everyone, for being with us for the past 6 years and have watched our little place evolve.

We’ll, that’s a wrap! What an incredible evening! I was so fully intent on enjoying the moment, I forgot what the moment could be!! So taken back and so much to say, this post is a portion of that.

I am so grateful to first my wife .of_all_trades, supportive does not come close to describe. She has been a cornerstone of transforming a dream into reality. And showing our kids, that if you put your mind to it, you really can accomplish anything.

Thank you to anyone who has taught me a lesson, culinary and in life, past and present.

Thank you to The Diplomat team current and alumni you will infinitely be considered a fellow Diplomat. You have taught me how to be more than a chef.

Many a thank you to Milwaukee diners for supporting us for the past 5 years. ESPECIALLY THE LAST TWO! Those who purchased gift cards or who picked up curbside to-go and those who welcomed US back as we reopened for on-site dining nearly a year ago! And of course this also goes to anyone who has looked us up while passing through.
