3 years in this space. This has been the best 3 years of my life, no doubt. Everyday we get to hear and share healing journeys, the miracles of natural medicine, experience deep synchronicities, be present for our neighbors and for those who travel quite a distance to experience this unique place, and have a lot of fun; they are incredible blessings and I am honored to receive them. We are also humbled to receive challenges and hardships as gifts that present learning opportunities and personal and spiritual powerups. This is one of the few herb shops in the country that makes all our own medicine. Virtually everything here was made in house by one of us, save for some merchandise that we get from local artisans. A huge thank you to our community and to our knowledgeable and experienced staff for making this all possible.

Here’s Davide 9 months in and 9 months out. 18 months since he was granted the divine spark, free will and made beneficiary of creation in this realm. He’s already walking and very very fun. He’s not much of a dreamer, or a chilled out relaxo, he is a doer. He also wanted to do a photo shoot in the bumble wrap to remind you that we would take your bubble wrap and packing supplies so we can continue our streak of only reusing packing material instead of buying it.

The Herbal Foundations course has come to a close this year. (I’m a month late in acknowledging this) What an incredible group we were blessed to have! don’t think my words could properly express how proud I feel for the ways that they leveled up, or my my gratitude for what they have taught to me. In the final day of class we had many presentations that were extremely touching and powerful testimonies to the truth and healing found on the plant path, followed by a final herb walk and an epic closing ceremony on the beach. Community is a critical ingredient for individual health, and I look forward to seeing the ways that these people (plus some not pictured) will branch out to cultivate that healing in the greater community. I’ve witnessed so much healing from within this group here with the time we spent together, and healing in myself when I am with them, and for all of this it is a true honor that they joined. Thank you to the Class of 2022! Onward!

SOLIDAGO: once upon a time, some time AGO, what was once SOLID/whole/firm is now infirm/less whole, but with SOLIDAGO it will be solid again.
This is the botanical name of goldenrod and the meaning of the name. Here is an extremely abundant and versatile plant, certainly a superstar for allergies and a kidney tonic, but one of my favorite virtues of this plant is the ability to bind together that in need of mending. In the mind, in the sinuses, on the skin, in the home, in the vital connection to Source, what needs to become solid again like it was once ago? Goldenrod, help make it so.

So much fun at herb school. In class today we did a group distillation- I asked everyone to bring in an aromatic plant. We each spoke our intentions, talked about the meaning of the plant, how and when it was gathered, and put it in the cauldron. We mixed in some water we each imprinted and let’er rip. It was kinda like a Hufflepuff fantasy getting played out. After that we had a pot luck, then did an incense making segment using the hydrosol that we made in our incense. Finally we partnered up and did some pulse practice.
Earlier this week I opened my online herbal program. We got some new help at our shop. It’s been so much fun around here learning and being a community herbalist.
