Are you passionate about positively impacting your community? We're hiring Guest Support Staff (GSS) to join our dedicated team! As a GSS, you’ll oversee guest activities, providing compassionate support to women and families temporarily residing in The Cathedral Center’s emergency shelter or Friendship House emergency flexible housing program.

📅 **Shifts:** Combination of 2nd and 3rd shifts daily, including weekends and holidays.

💰 **Hiring Bonus:** $500 for full-time, $200 for part-time positions!

Arts and crafts have been taking over our Child & Family Room featuring fire-breathing dragons and some original paintings from our guests. We love to see how creative these youth can be!

Thank you to our friends from Saint John Vianney Parish & School for stopping by our Emergency Shelter during their week of service in Milwaukee! This amazing group of volunteers helped pack lunches for guests, cleaned up the courtyard, and organized our spaces. Groups like this are essential to providing a safe environment for women and families to heal.

Tikkun Ha-Ir of Milwaukee hosted their Food Justice Walk at the Urban Ecology Center. The walk benefited THI's Veggie Chop Shop, a community meal program that provides The Cathedral Center and other social service agencies with monthly meals!

They also took the time to honor the Shapiro Family for their 15 years of service at The Cathedral Center. For the past 15 years, the Shapiro Family has brought Christmas Eve joy to families staying in our Emergency Shelter. Mr. Shapiro dresses up as Santa Claus and the rest of the family as elves to read books to children, pass out holiday treats, and provide a warm, welcoming environment during this joyful time of year.

We are so grateful for their 15 years of holiday service and are excited to welcome the next family to carry on this tradition!
