WOW! What a weekend…thanks to everyone that came out! And a special thanks to .floral for making Mother’s Day extra special here at the shop!

Here’s what we’ve got happening this week…take note of some special announcements!

Monday-Wednesday: open 6a-5p…great coffee, cocktails and eats all day every day!
Thursday: open 6a-9p with Quizmaster Trivia starting at 6:30p
Friday: open 6a-7p with Hawthorne Happy Hour from 4p-7p ($1 off House Cocktails
Saturday: open 7a-7p…and here’s where it gets interesting…this will be our last Waffle Saturday with Press. for the season as they gear up to start another summer of Farmers Markets. They’ll be here 8a-noon! Stick around or come back from 3p-7p for cocktail night with yours truly, !
Sunday: open 7a-2p for Hawthorne Bloody Sunday…$1 off Bloody’s all day!

Happy Mother’s Day!

We’re open 7a-2p! Our friends from Ritual Floral are popping up from 8a-1p (or until they sell out) with lots of great and beautiful gifts for the moms in your life. Of course we have all of the tasty things to drink and eat as well.

Bring your mom down or come grab them some things to bring home (ahem…we make Bloody Mary’s to go!).

About today….WOW.

1. THANY YOU!!! It was amazing to have so many folks come hangout, eat and drink with us today!
2. For the time being, I’m a bit of a one man circus when it comes to coffee roasting/cold brewing/baking/sandwich making/etc. Sometimes we may run low or out of things. I’ll always get us stocked back up, but patience is definitely appreciated!
3. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR SHOP!! This can’t be said enough.

I’ll be here pouring coffee and cocktails until 7p and then it’s back to the kitchen to prepare for Sunday!

It’s trivia night! Game starts at 6:30pm with prizes for 1st place, 2nd place and best team name. We’ve got cocktails and beers…feeling hungry? Hit up Hot Dish Pantry up the block for a carry out order to bring with you!

Closing out another great Saturday! Thanks to everyone that stopped in today. We’re back at 7am tomorrow for Hawthorne Bloody Sunday…$1 off Bloody Mary’s all day (we close at 2p)!

10 years ago today, we had passed our final inspections, been issued our permit and sold our first pound of coffee online out of our little shop in West Allis, WI.

10 years, many pounds and many pours later…we’re still bringing coffee to Milwaukee and beyond from our home on Howell Ave.

We’re open until 5p today and I (Steve) be behind the counter all day. Stop in for a pound, a pour (coffee or bourbon!) and a high five

From roasting R&D in my garage during a poker vortex, to our little shop in West Allis, to our current home on Howell Ave…what a wild ride it’s been.

With a little luck, and a little help from our friends, we’ll keep pushing for another 10 years and beyond.

I know the weather is hot garbage…but we’re here and have plenty of comfort items. Have a coffee, maybe a sandwich or baked good…some bourbon if you’re feeling wild.

UPDATE:

I’ve got a temporary fix in place so that we can open our side room for seating this weekend. It will close again on Monday for (hopefully) permanent repair.

So get your bursa here and into these seats this weekend! We’ve got here Saturday 8am-noon. Cocktails until 7p Saturday night and Bloody Mary special all day Sunday

The first batches of 2024 are being roasted. The shop is open until 2p today for your coffee and cocktail needs! Don’t forget, $6 Bloody Mary’s today (yeah we can make ‘em to go). Our Grab & Go fridge is fully stocked with breakfast sandwiches. Sticking around? We can warm it up for you.

You guys have really shows up and bought the beans this week! I can’t express how much we appreciate you thinking of us for your coffee consumption and gift giving needs.

I’ll be honest…times are tough for our little shop and we’re fighting the good fight every day to make it to the next. If you come in and buy a couple two-three (or 4, 5,6,7…?) pounds, it really makes a difference to our business and our family. So, when you hear us say “thank you,” it’s not obligatory…it’s from the very bottom of our hearts.

We’ll be here every day through Christmas Eve and I’ll roast every last bean that I’ve got for you. We’ve got gift cards and lots of tasty, fresh baked treats. We’ve got coffee, we’ve got cocktails! We’ve always got a smile and a high five free of charge (tips accepted)!
