As friends and family gathered last month to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1993 and hence The Bartolotta Restaurants, there wasn’t a moment that went by without Joe on our minds. We thought to share the first photo of Joe in Milwaukee Magazine, proudly holding two plates from our opening menu, smartly dressed in a double-breasted Gucci sport coat. And so, the journey began.

We know how much he would have loved the celebration. Anyone that knew him knows that Joe Bartolotta would have been the first one cutting the cake and handing out slices, and the first one to hop on stage and joke that he was “kind of a big deal!” He would have been so proud, looking around at all the new and familiar faces celebrating three decades of a dream he and Paul shared. It has been four years since Joe left us, yet his hospitality heart is with us every day. His leadership, his friendship, his larger-than-life personality that filled every room he entered will be treasured forever. We love you, Joe!

We are very proud that the Milwaukee Press Club once again chose The Grain Exchange to host the City of Milwaukee’s Birthday Bash last night. The grand ballroom was filled with merriment, laughter, drinks, and food all provided by our amazing Bartolotta Catering & Events team.
