Infrastructure Canvas

A specialized stretched canvas that is an alternative to painting on board. The canvas will not stretch or flex while creating your work of art.

This is a patent pending structure that uses traditional stretched cotton canvas over a frame that contains a rigid foam support. The combination of foam support and the frame produces a flat continuous surface that is similar to using a hardboard surface. Unlike board as a substrate, Infrastructure Canvas is not limited in size (4' x 8' sheet) and remains relatively light weight, even at 8' x 6'.

Kevin Cross is an Irish painter based in New York City. Although he is colorblind, his work focuses primarily on the use of color, line and form to create the illusion of motion on two dimensional surfaces.

Kevin started using in 2019.
Today he told us our canvases have been a game changer. He uses our canvas exclusively now.
He can achieve the perfect surface for his paintings. That is truly one of the best compliments we can hear from our clients. We want to hear about your successes!

Russell Craig, an accomplished painter, and Philadelphia native, is seen transporting his rad 60 x 60 x 3.5 inch to his Brooklyn studio. Craig's thought-provoking work combines portraiture with social and political themes, exploring the experiences of over-criminalized communities and their agency after a lifetime of institutional control. Despite being self-taught and surviving a decade of incarceration after growing up in the foster care system, Craig's work has been displayed at prestigious venues such as Rutgers University, Columbia University, and the Truth to Power exhibition during the Democratic National Convention. His work has also received extensive media coverage from outlets such as The New York Times, The Guardian, and Artsy. Craig is a lead artist with the Mural Arts Philadelphia's Restorative Justice Guild program and has been recognized as a 2017 Right of Return fellow and a 2018 Ford Foundation: Art for Justice fellow. It is awesome when artists find our canvas and they are excited to use it. Even greater when we hear it has changed their lives, their practice. Our canvas paints like a board, but it's lighter weight than a heavy panel. It's easier to handle and cheaper to ship. Canvas had not been improved in hundreds of year's. Our patented canvas is just a better canvas.
