On Saturday, December 2nd of 2023, OMA attended The Lutheran Church of the Epiphany's 125th Anniversary Fundraiser Luncheon at Verdi's in Westbury. For over a century, this body has served as a bastion of spirituality and service to it's community. Once the only church for miles in any direction, The Lutheran Church of the Epiphany has only grown and outstretched their arms as Nassau County grew with it, and we commend their longstanding commitment to the people of Nassau. To date their demographics have grown more and more diverse and their congregation has become just as varied as Nassau County itself.

On Monday, November 13 of 2023, SUNY Old Westbury held a discussion titled "SUNY Old Westbury: A Legacy of Inclusion". Since 1965, SUNY Old Westbury has been an institution whose central focus included serving those who, in some cases, might not have the opportunity to attend college - whether due to their upbringing and background or a lack of belief in their own abilities.

"SUNY Old Westbury: A Legacy of Inclusion" focused on the changes required due to recent court decisions and on the history of SUNY Old Westbury, which in many ways has the campus "ahead of the curve".
