Do you own a farm use vehicle? Enforcement starts today for new rules regarding farm use vehicle tags.

If you have a farm use panel truck, pickup truck, or sport utility vehicle with a gross weight under 7,500 pounds, you may need a DMV-issued placard. Placards cost $15 and can be obtained by filling out an application with information and signed statements about your farm activity.

The Mineral DMV Select and Town of Mineral will be on a two hour delay Wednesday, January 17th. We will open at 10:30am tomorrow.

The Mineral DMV Select will be closed from 8:30 am until 1pm on Thursday, January 11th.

Please call 540-894-4584 for Town payments and town staff will assist you. The office lobby will be closed.

**Louisa County Government Facilities Closing Early**
Active weather conditions including heavy rain, severe thunderstorms and winds up to 65 mph are anticipated for Louisa County today, January 9. Due to the forecasted weather, all non-emergency response Louisa County government facilities (including the County Office Building, landfill, Refuse & Recycling sites, Animal Shelter, Parks, Recreation & Tourism and Human Services) will close at 3pm. Please check with the courts and the Louisa County Library regarding their hours.
