Jokes aside, this manhattan riff features , an unparalleled whisky from Mexico made with nixtamalized corn. It tastes like stuff, and it’s great in this drink. It kinda tastes like molé! Come try it before it’s gone forever.

New month, new charity!

Congrats to all of you for raising $232 for in July. This month the drinks on the board will support and their wonderful mission of sharing the outdoors with everyone!

First up is this banger of a rum old fashioned featuring the brand new Mister Fog Navy Rum. It’s a blend of rums from Barbados, Trinidad, Guayana, and Jamaica. It SLAPS!

For those of us not in New Orleans, come chug some alcohol drinks on our patio. Like this one. It’s the Solare, and it’s like a spritz if a spritz was actually good.

Ok. Here is the long post that I've been dreading to type up because it's full of details that I'll forget.

First of all, yes we're open on the 4th! Also, our new patio will probably be open by then if I can finish staining all of these goddamn picnic tables that I should have stained before I put them together.

The most important part of the post is about the weekend, which is this part.
DETAILS-
Saturday and Sunday we are starting to open at 12pm noon time! We will do this for the rest of the summer at least, maybe FoREvEr!?

We're partying with $7 Tres Generaciones Margs and Cruzan Daiqs and Jim Beam Highballs for everyone that decides to stay in town and hang with us.

We've also got $7 Tomm's Royale style! It's that thing of when you dip a beer in hot sauce and tajin and then lick it and drink it. It's fu***ng delicious.

On Saturday I'm going to setup a grill and just sit there banging out hotdogs for y'all until I get tired or we run out. Sorry, no vegan dogs for this.

SUNDAY! We're hosting for brunch starting at noon. They're going to do the thing and we will still have the cheap drinks and maybe something else if we have time. Definitely making bloodies though.

That might be most of it. Maybe I forgot something. Come hang and celebrate our weird patio and have fun with us!

Hey nerds! Cool news!

Our friend Kevin Peterson has a great new book and he's coming to hang out with us and show it off!

We've got two events happening. The first is a lovely little happy hour on Monday July 1st from 4-6:30ish pm. We will feature a few drinks from the book and Kevin will post up to meet and greet anyone interested in learning more about him, his bar and the book.

We're also hosting a class on Tuesday July 2nd led by Dr. Kevin, which you can book in the link in our Bio!

Dr. Peterson's background spans physics, engineering, perfumery, and bar ownership. His new book, Cocktail Theory - A Sensory Approach to Transcendent Drinks, is a detailed look at the theory and philosophy behind the Detroit cocktail bar he co-founded, Castalia, that operates as a perfumery by day, but by night transforms to serve scent-paired drinks. Using several examples from the book, students will taste and smell Dr. Peterson's approach to drink-making, as well as learn numerous tips and tricks they can incorporate into their own repertoire.

Castalia has been featured in the New York Times, Imbibe, Vinepair, and the Wall Street Journal, and Cocktail Theory is now available in print.

We call it Siren Songs because it reminds us of the sea. It's like if a dirty martini was actually a good drink? Yes.

It's got dill aquavit and Fino Sherry and Saler's gentian liqueur. We splish splash some brine in there to bump up the savory.

This drink is the Pink Slips and it's very slurpable. Strawberry puree and and tequila and a little black tea and a splash of lemon some and rice vinegar.

Summer menu drinks are so dope y'all.

This banger is the Bossa Nova. It's tropical AF with the Cachaça and the Thai basil and the papaya and the coconut. It's got the refreshing funk you need on the hot days.

Come hang out in the cold brick box with us once that sunburn sets in and you're tired from all the whirling.

Damn, we finally are allowed to purchase this sacred monk juice right in time for May 16, or chartreuse day!

Party starts at 4, we’re gonna have specials and maybe even laybacks of the last .75 oz of this VEP. It’s easily the craziest thing we are doing this week so come get some herbal yum sauce in your mouthzzzzzzz.

This is the Sesame Street and it comes in a can!

It's giving off slutty Mai Tai vibes with toasted sesame orgeat, a blend of rums we love, Genever from and this good pasilla chile liqueur stuff we have. There's lime in it too. And mint. I think that's it.
