"My world was shaken when my grandmother was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma," shares Care Access Patient Access Liaison, Areial Watts. "Cancer conversations in black families are imperative," says Areial. "I remember her saying to me, "I don’t want to fight this" - which was NOT an option for me or my mom.

We kicked into high gear and did our research. We reviewed academic journal articles, compared treatment options, scouted hospitals/specialists, and even looked into clinical trials. 3.5 years later, she lives a healthy and active life in durable remission! Cancer screenings, investigative treatment options, clinical trials, genomic testing - there are options."

Through BRIDGE we are devoting significant energy, time, and funds toward solving this important problem over the course of the next decade. Learn more at https://www.bridgeinitiative.com
