At midnight on August 30th, 1962, the British flag Union Jack was lowered (shown in the picture), marking the end of colonialism. The Trinidad and Tobago flag was raised for the first time. Bells tolled and sirens rang out to herald the birth of the newly independent nation. So proud of the history, diversity, and resilient spirit of T&T!

Trinidad Stewed Chicken is a comforting dish packed with true island flavor and soul.
