Here at Laurel Village, we have been busy! We've been celebrating with many fun activities including, feeding our caterpillars, working together to fill containers with pom-poms, face painting, hosting our Preschool Summer Program Sneak Peek, coloring, hunting for bugs, and having fun with our families! 🎉

We had a special visitor last week! Santa and Mrs. Claus came to read us stories, take pictures, and hear what we wanted for Christmas. 🎄

On Friday, we got a really neat surprise from one of our families. A mom brought in juice and donuts for our teachers to thank them for all they do. Thanks for this sweet gesture! 🥰

Join us tomorrow and every Saturday this summer for Music in Motion at Peavey Plaza! This FREE event will feature music and movement led by Children's Theatre Company teachers, plus games, activities, giveaways, and fun!

Today, our teachers dressed as book characters and read us the stories. We also decorated bags, went trick-or-treating, made pumpkins and emoji candy corn, played games, danced, and explored sensory tables!

We are so excited to announce that our school has officially been re-accredited with The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)! 🎉

This past Sunday, we planned a fun outing at LuceLine Orchard for teachers and their families. We enjoyed an afternoon filled with animals, tractors, corn mazes, picking apples, and jumping in a corn pit! 🍁

From waffle bars to candy bars, we had a blast showing our incredible teachers our love and appreciation this week! A heartfelt thank you to all of our families who shared in our celebration as well. Happy !

This past Monday, our teachers attended our 19th Annual Professional Development Conference. This gave them the opportunity to learn more about one another while better understanding how to further celebrate diversity and inclusion within the classroom. Our teachers will be using the information learned to help make New Horizon Academy’s next 50 years even better.
