Almost every single one of my high school and college notebooks has a song lyric, drum notation, or guitar tab somewhere within. Almost every song I’ve ever written has a number associated with it, but the numbers are all…out of order. So I’m flagging every draft by current song number, and I’m going to organize them all by approximate start date, so I can hopefully figure out what the *real* numbers actually are.

Oh yeah, and I’m going to film the entire process, and record every single song, and share it all with you. I hope you’ll check it out. I’m calling the series “Every Song I Ever Wrote” — subscribe to Midnight Notion on YouTube to see it whenever it debuts (in the hopefully not-too-distant future).

6 years ago today: the biggest band I’ve ever been in, The Minneapolis Mods (funk), performed our first and only show together. I was drummer, and Alec and Zack were in the horns section. I had no idea they would still be making music with me 6 years later, but here we are! Only a few weeks before we’re all vaccinated and jamming together again. But will there be new music? 🤷‍♂️ Are you even ready for new music?

Here's an interesting find: a Myspace Blog Post from March 2nd, 2006 (back when I called myself "OMD Man," which stood for Obsessive Music Dependency…Man). This is the official announcement that I was going to start recording what would eventually become Somewhere in Dreamworld. So the album took 13 years—minus one day—before I finally got it released in 2019! WOW! What a journey!

I suppose we should celebrate this one… What’s your favorite Blink song?
