Climate Generation will be at the Minnesota State Fair on August 26th in the Eco Experience Building! We’ll share information about how schools, especially in Minnesota, are laboratories for climate solutions. Students, teachers, parents, administrators, and other community members can support school-related climate solutions in various ways, so stop by our table to learn more, or follow along on social media to learn with us!

We are looking for paid leaders of our program who:
-Live in the Minneapolis/St.Paul/Metro
-Excited to Take climate change action in your school, build youth power, and advocate to your local-elected body
-Students between the ages of 14-18
-Available to participate in 4 monthly meetings, at 3 hours per week
All leaders receive a monthly stipend!
We were inspired by the Summer Institute For Climate Change Education, it was a treat to build community with educators across the nation and learn practical skills through case studies, expert talks, and localized cohort days.... Next year's institute can't come soon enough!

Lee originally hails from the moody north shore of Boston but has happily been calling South Minneapolis home for five years. He has worked for Open Eye Theatre, in addition to other nonprofit and education settings. Lee holds a degree in English Literature and Theatre Arts. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, thinking about art and occasionally making it.

At this year’s , Amelia Cook, Sustainability Science Manager and Tribal Liaison at the South Central Climate Adaptation Science Center spoke to over 300 educators about what’s needed in climate change education people-centered in our plenary panel alongside Ten Strands and the Main Department of Education.
When we connect climate change science to the intersectional nature of climate change, we invite students to see themselves fitting into the various skills, industries, and backgrounds needed to address it, in a way that builds both trust and engagement.
Climate change solutions are made in the classroom, at home, and within our communities. This year we are celebrating the people that make climate change solutions possible! We've invited leaders in climate science, environmental and social justice, and education to better understand how we can create localized opportunities for climate change education and action.
The Summer Institute couldn't happen without the powerful speakers who share their knowledge and expertise with our community!

The Fund Development Manager provides strategic and tactical resource development and revenue building efforts from institutional and individual donors. This position provides leadership for prospecting research, writing, submitting and reporting on funding requests to institutional donors, and partners with the Executive Director on individual donor efforts. The description includes:
⭐ Prospecting research of current and new institutional funders.
⭐ Ensure institutional gift solicitation is entered into the Raiser’s Edge database.
⭐ Creates and meets annual institutional fundraising goals.
⭐ Stewards relationships with institutional funders, develops and writes regular communications to institutional donors.
⭐ Schedules, prepares, and participates in key meetings with institutional funders in collaboration with the Executive Director and any other relevant team members.

We are a nonprofit organization empowering individuals and their communities to engage in solutions to climate change. We are dedicated to climate change education, youth leadership, and citizen engagement for innovative climate change solutions.
We were founded by polar explorer Will Steger in 2006 through his powerful eyewitness account of climate change from over 50 years of exploration. His work has inspired our unique programming grounded in personal storytelling, public organizing, and education.
Our Approach
Build Climate Literacy: We work with educators nationally, providing science-based interdisciplinary climate change curriculum and professional development opportunities.
