Today in week 2 of Trans Voice training with we had the honor of watching a live lesson with a beautiful human named Ell. They said this during the lesson and it hit me. This. This is why I do what I do. “The voice is the frontline for gender presentation” ugh. All the warm feels. 🌟♥️🧡💛💚💙💜🌟

This is how I feel after teaching an elementary school-aged singer how to play with different laryngeal positions to offer her more colors and character choices in her voice. AND SHE TOTALLY GOT IT AND HAD A TOTALLY INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION ABOUT IT!!!

This sweet young man had his last lesson with me today (for now). I have taught him since he was in 6th grade and now Ethan is heading off to Interlochen high school of the arts for his senior year. I’m so incredibly proud of him and will miss his beautiful voice and his wonderful presence. You are on the path to big things, Ethan. 💚💙💚

It was a really wonderful week being a part of VO Atlanta 2021 . I met some really brilliant, warm and friendly folks. I got to show up as the vocal yogi nerd I am and loved every minute of it. Maybe next year we’ll actually get to be in person in lovely Atlanta. 🤞🏻
