Environmental Update: Did you know the EPA plans to Ramp Up Cybersecurity Enforcement for Water Utilities?

"Cyberattacks against CWSs are increasing in frequency and severity across the country. Based on actual incidents we know that a cyberattack on a vulnerable water system may allow an adversary to manipulate operational technology, which could cause significant adverse consequences for both the utility and drinking water consumers. Possible impacts include disrupting the treatment, distribution, and storage of water for the community, damaging pumps and valves, and altering the levels of chemicals to hazardous amounts." EPA

Join us for a unique opportunity to tour the nation's largest solar farm. Xcel Energy is actively constructing the Sherco Solar Farm in Becker, MN. The Sherco Solar Farm is an integral part of Minnesota's clean energy transition. The tour will include an overview of the project's development and right-of-way acquisition processes. A limited amount of PPE will be available, please bring your own safety vests, hard hats and wear closed toe shoes.
