First Free is a community of believers growing together in Christ. Our mission is to help individuals become Christ-centered and Christ-sent together.
We are a multi-generational, multi-ethnic community that seeks to be Christ-centered and Christ-sent. We are people who are growing in our dependence on Jesus – both when times are good and when times are hard – and consistently inviting others into that same experience of dependence. Our church continues to maintain its deep roots in Biblical truth and its identity in Christ Jesus.

Join us Tuesday, August 13, from 6–8 p.m. as we continue our journey into collage Art.
In July we created bookmarks & cards to explore the process of arranging various papers & small objects into a pleasing whole. Individual panels or small canvases were painted as preparation for our August class.
If you missed that class & would like to participate in August we still have enough for you to join in. If you were with us in July, but will miss August please arrange for a time to get your panel for working on at home.
If you are new to class, Welcome! No experience is necessary & all supplies are provided.
High school grads & 20-somethings—join us Sunday August 11 at noon for backyard games, free food, and community time with other young adults! We will meet near the main beach at Lake Nokomis! Contact the church office with any questions.
Due to health warnings at Lake Nokomis, this Sunday's baptisms will take place at church at the end of the service. The picnic after the service has been moved to Triangle Park.
On Tuesday, July 9th from 6–8 p.m. we will have our next “Created to Create” class. This class will be about collage using paint, stickers, & small objects to create a scriptural or motivational themed bookmark or card. During this class we will also prep a birch panel for the next class on August 13th. In that class we will create a beautiful, inspirational collage panel focused on a theme of your choice.
We look forward to your participation in the class. Diane will be sharing her expertise with collage & it should be a great time of creativity & fellowship.
