For the first time, Meghan Foley will be leading Yin Yoga Teacher Training at Blooma 💜 For anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice, Yin Yoga is a subtle yet complex practice that balances out the Yang (active) side of your yoga practice, and life in general, by addressing the fascia of the body with long holds, mindful breathing and holding space. This comprehensive 21 hour training will teach students about the meridians of the body affected by Yin postures, the yoga and Taoist philosophy steeped in the Yin tradition, how to sequence and teach a Yin practice, and how to hold space for a quieter, more restorative practice. This training is recommended for teachers who have completed their 200-hour teacher training in any lineage, or are currently in the process of completing a 200-hour training. Qualifies for Yoga-Alliance approved Continuing Education Credits. Schedule: Friday, October 25th 1-8pm Saturday, October 26th 12:30-7:30pm Sunday, October 27th 12:30-7:30pm About Your Instructor: Meghan Foley has been teaching Yin Yoga and training instructors for over 10 years, weaving in her background of Ayurvedic medicine, Taoist philosophy, and functional anatomy. Trained as a yoga therapist and ayurvedic health counselor, Meghan offers weekly yoga classes, private sessions, workshops, retreats and teacher trainings in the Twin Cities on a regular basis. www.meghanfoleyyoga.com #yinyogateachertraining #yinyoga #blooma #yogateachertraining

Did you know the uterus is the size of pear in a non pregnant person? It grows to be about the size of a watermelon around 40 weeks of pregnancy. Fascia and ligaments connect the uterus to the pelvis. The broad ligament wraps around the uterus and holds it in place. It controls the forward and backward motion of the uterus. The two round ligaments located on either sides of the uterus stretch upward as the uterus expands to accommodate the growing baby. The uterosacral ligament anchors the uterus at the sacrum or base of the spine. The cervical ligaments anchor the uterus at and around the cervical region. Some discomfort in pregnancy can come from these ligaments being too tight, too loose or too twisty. Interested in accessing that balance? Join us for our next Spinning Babies Parent class on August 9th!

We know there are two things to be true in life: We all were born and we all one day will die. Sarah Longacre opened Blooma 15 years ago to celebrate birth and families all day every day. Now it is her time to take a pause from Blooma and doula, support and love her mother through her death. Cheryl Hauser was the marketing queen of Blooma. She never stopped preaching the Blooma love to any and all. She loved birth and she loved being a mom. Four years ago Cheryl was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. It has slowly taken its toll on her mind, but not her spirit. And the time has come to say goodbye. Sarah feels bless and gives thanks to all that are managing Blooma and for all who continue to support Blooma. For more information and to follow along on Sarah’s moms journey visit: CherylHauser.com

Yoga at Wild Rice Retreat with Sarah Longacre
Sarah and Meghan had so much fun spending the weekend up at the magical Wild Rice Retreat with 26 Blooma moms, sisters, friends, and grandmas. The Blooma vibe was alive and well. There was instant connection, vulnerable heartfelt sharing, and care for one another. One participant who came with her friend said “I was anxious to come to a retreat that I didn’t really know anyone, but upon arriving, I knew everything would be okay, because it’s Blooma!” We laughed together, cried together, and set an intention to bring a piece of this magical weekend home with us. There was a theme in the group that spending more time slowing down, connecting and resting is a necessity. We can’t wait to welcome another group in February! There’s only half the spots left!
