Congratulations to our partner Vibia for winning the coveted darc award under the Decorative Kit category during a ceremony held at fabric London last March 27th for the 2023 edition.

The collection designed by Umut Yamac together with Vibia was selected by fellow lighting professionals in a peer-to-peer voting system. Darc, the Decorative Lighting in Architecture magazine received more than 370 entry submissions and 11,000 votes were cast.

Bravo for your beautiful lighting design as well as fostering the well-being of people in everything you create!

We hosted an amazing CEU covering sustaining manufacturing practices this week courtesy of Andreu World and their Regional Manager, Michael Cook. Fascinating, Educational and Inspirational. What more could we ask for? Thanks to all who attended!!!

Last week our showroom manager Jen Ruis was recognized for her service to the ASID MN Design community. Besides being the Finance Director- Jen lends here considerable talents to many different committees helping to shin a light on our amazingly talented and creative design community.! Fancy a little Soda??

The principle remains the same as our original soda table: a single volume, upside down, in beautifully blown glass. But this time there are four stems, and four curved corners to delineate the new top. It is still Soda, but it wants to get up close and personal: you can extend it by matching pieces together, or create sophisticated compositions by mixing the different shapes.

The self-standing Air Bookshelf on glass supports seems to float in mid air, allowing natural light to filter through and really lightening the look of the space. The shelves and storage units are secured to the glass using an interlocking mechanism, making for an extremely safe and stable structure. There are no limits on size and the bookcase can even be positioned in the middle of the room. It blends into the existing architecture, becoming a partition that divides up the space harmoniously.

We are head over heels with this textile collaboration between Knoll and Abbott Miller.

A graduate of the Cooper Union, Abbott is a designer, editor, and art director. He is a partner in the New York office of the international design studio Pentagram, where his clients include the Guggenheim Museum, Harley-Davidson, The Sigmund Freud Museum in Vienna, and Knoll.
