Yes, Class 1 e-bikes are the only type of e-bike allowed in Fall de Tonka. Class 1 e-bikes are classified as pedal-assist only, with no throttle and have a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph. They will not move without pedaling.
Minnesota Statute 169.222 states that children must be 15 years old to ride an e-bike.
E-bike charging stations not available on the route.

Thank you to all of our century riders! 💪🚴 You guys are amazing this route is VERY challenging! This year it is actually 103 miles as we count in and out of rest stops. Our 100 mile riders come from all over the country to ride the beautiful scenic route along the Minnesota west metro. We hope you had a wonderful time riding with us for Tour de Tonka!

Boyer Building is proud to support Minnetonka Public Schools Tour de Tonka ! Our team had a blast helping out on prep day, building the framework for this fantastic race. As a sponsor since 2010, we love being part of this community event. It's always a joy to see our guys come together to make a difference and ensure everything is ready for race day. Did you know that Tour de Tonka gives out door prizes to riders? This year we have 60 amazing door prizes from local businesses with values ranging from $10 up to $25 dollars. Prize winners will be drawn at 7:30am and posted outside of the apparel tent at Minnetonka Highschool - so you can pick it up after your ride.

*Preregistered riders are automatically entered into the raffle for door prizes. Day of registrants are asked to fill out a ticket entering them into the raffle.

Did you know that Tour de Tonka has been happening annually since 2006? We have a special group of 45 people, called our Legacy Riders, who have been riding with us every year for the past 19 years. Isn't that awesome!

Whether you've been with us for many rides or if this is your first time riding, we are so excited to have you join us for Tour de Tonka 2024. 🚴 See you on August 3rd!

Here are some of the items you can expect along the route
(availability will vary depending on location):

Fresh fruit, granola bars/bites, PB&J, trail mix, meat sticks, packaged waffles, Salted Nut Rolls and other candy, coffee cake/mini loaves, pretzels, chips, applesauce, cashew clusters, peanut butter crackers, cheese & crackers, and hot dogs (Waconia location only). There is water at every rest stop and Gatorade at most. We also have free pizza and water at the finish, as well as a snow cone truck!

TDT riders are everywhere! Tim Litfin ran into Jeff Vannelli from Victoria this morning at the gas station. He was wearing a TDT shirt and Tim was as well. Jeff said “I’ll see you on Saturday, Tim!”

Another one of our staff ran into two riders at a soccer game last night. Truly shows how Tour de Tonka brings together the community.

VOLUNTEERS! We are so excited to see you at 5pm tonight at Minnetonka High School. Thank you for volunteering your time for this exciting event. We hope you're excited for Tour de Tonka- this Saturday-August 3rd!

This year we have our new 65 mile ride nicknamed "The Voyage"
Riders on the 65-mile route will enjoy the same great 7:00 am start time at Clear Springs Elementary in Minnetonka alongside the 100-mile riders. Great views through Minnetonka, views of Lake Minnetonka, lovely downtown Wayzata, rural Orono and eventually north to Delano. Riders will curl through beautiful downtown Watertown and travel into Mound and along the paved Dakota Rail Trail through Spring Park and parts of Navarre. Later riders will be directed east on the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail for two miles as they move into and through scenic downtown Excelsior. You will finish at Minnetonka High School.

Tour de Tonka is open for all ages and all abilities– from families and recreational bicyclists- to cycling teams and serious athletes, everyone can successfully ride and enjoy the beautiful scenery and be a part of this highly organized event.

The states we have riding with us are: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
