Always keep a record of maintenance for your septic system. This will assist in knowing when to have your septic pumped.
In the records you should note there is a T-shaped outlet that prevents sludge from traveling into the drainfield. You should have it pumped when it is withing 6 inches from the bottom of the outlet.

Did you know that you should have your water heater tank flushed? This will keep the sediments from gathering in the bottom of your tank. Over time those sediments could cause issues, such as the bottom of the tank rusting, or block water lines.
Tankless water heaters must be flushed as well to prevent clogging.
