Join us this Sunday for our kick off to the Advent season with special music and a candlelight service. Our service starts at 11 a.m. (Remember there is NO Sunday School this week!)

Really hate to see our November Bible Reading/Writing come to an end! It has been wonderful being reminded from Scripture of the blessings we have in the Lord to be thankful for! Hope you got your copy of the December plan in your bulletin. It will follow along with our celebration of Advent. If you missed it, extra copies are on the credenza in the breezeway. Enjoy God's love letter to us and be blessed!

There was barely room for Pastor Joe in his truck once all your donations to the Food Roundup were loaded. Thanks to April showers pouring down🌧, nothing could go in the truck bed.☹️ With all the items sorted by category and packed up, there were so, so many boxes! Thank you for your overwhelming generousity to the precious children of the N.C. Baptist's Children's Home. (And a special thank you to everybody who brought packing boxes Wednesday night!)

Our cart almost runneth over! What a blessing for the NC Baptist Children's Homes!!! Remember, this Wednesday night, 4/26, is the last time to bring your donations before we deliver them to the pick up location. Thank you for your generosity and being obedient to care for "the least of these."

Former Bama (and Oklahoma) QB Jalen Hurts last night at Super Bowl Opening Night in Phoenix as he talked with the media about staying resilient when he was benched at Bama in favor of Tua, only to forge on to become an NFL star quarterback.

"I knew I was going through it for a reason- I really believe that, and that's why I doubled down. Faith without work is dead, so I had a lot of faith, and I put in a lot of work. I've never stopped believing in myself and believing what I could be."

Dear MLBC family,

Due to a burst pipe in the ceiling, we have had to cut off water to the building, so we will be unable to have church tomorrow.

We are so sorry to not be able to gather together to celebrate the Lord's birth, but trust that you and your families will keep Jesus at the center of your celebrations.

May you all have a blessed and joyous Christmas Day and we'll see you all back next Sunday to start 2023 off in His presence!
