I have an answer for you - both yes and no.

We are all so different and individual that everyone experiences pain differently. Some clients feel relaxed and even fall asleep during the procedure, while others cannot endure it without additional numbing.

On a scale from 1 to 10, 99% of clients rate the pain level around 3. During the procedure, I use topical anesthetics initially and add more throughout the process.

It's crucial to understand that most anesthetics contain lidocaine, which some people may be allergic to. Therefore, it's essential to be aware of your health condition and any contraindications. If a client is allergic to lidocaine, there are substitutes available that may not provide such strong pain relief but can help endure the entire procedure.
