✨This is 38✨ Alhumdulilah

I’m not sure what I thought I would feel being closer to 40 than 30. When we were kids 40 felt so old lol but now here I am at 38 living my best life, Alhamdulillah. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine my life how it is but we plan and Allah plans & He is the best of planners.

This world is a dark place, it always has been but I’ve been blessed to not experience that side as many have but with time the veil starts to fall and you begin to see the chaos, injustice & evil & a part of you dies. You can never unsee the monsters & you begin to question everything so you go searching for answers and over and over again the answer is always the same, الله Allah, trust in Allah, follow His plans, go with the flow as He has deemed fit and your life will be complete. These past few years I’ve longed for a relationship with my deen, with my lord & for the first time at the (dare I say🤭) ripe age of 38 I finally feel like I’m making a small dent in my spirituality. So that is my wish, my dua and the dua I ask you all to make for me. I have everything this world can offer Alhamdulillah but I want to be closer to Allah & build a life around that in due time. Please keep me in your prayers as you all are in mine and with that I say Bismillah & start my 38th year on this earth. May Allah reunite us in Jannah 🤲💕

How often do I get to go from “makeup artist” to guest at a wedding? Not very often, but what made this wedding so special was that is 1 of my close friend’s baby sis. Makeup By Maryam is moving!

Hey guys!
So this has been in the works for a bit. We hadn’t planned for it until next year but things lined up much earlier so my family and I will be moving to Dallas, Texas in a few weeks. California has been my home for over 8 years, to say I’m sad to leave this place is an understatement 😭 The beautiful friendships, my amazing vendor family, all my gorgeous clients I had the opportunity to work with, it’s allll been so incredibly magical.
BUT, I will still be flying back for my brides who book me as an out of state vendor. So any bridal client that is still interested in booking my services, please reach out for a quote!
It’s truly been an honor to be part of so many beautiful peoples’ lives. I am so grateful to every person that made this place feel like home. Please keep me in your prayers as we begin this new chapter in our lives.
