Two years ago today, I opened my doors at Radiant Wellness. 🎉🥳

It was an Open House mixed with friends and family alike. 🌿 (And KU happened to be playing 🏀 during).

I had no idea what was in-store for me in the upcoming months and now TWO YEARS!!!

A simple mission being carried out day after day:

While the ex*****on of this mission has beautifully evolved over the last two years, by listening to my patients and their needs and adding more tools to my toolbox, the drive and heart of the business hasn’t changed. 💛

Thank you for all those who have supported me from near and far. It has been a pleasure to serve and I pray I have many more years ahead of me to continue fulfilling this mission!

I bought this beaut at an Estate Sale a few years back. The minute I saw it, I knew I had to have it.

I felt that feeling of “Finally! Someone gets what us women are going through!”

I not only related to it, I felt it was part of my identity- the woman who could do it all.

But something odd happened after I bought this.

I never hung it on my wall. I didn’t even prop it up on my desk or show it to my friends.

I began to think about how I could be “the woman who could do it all” without feeling like I was on a hamster wheel.

That woman without juggling both my laptop and child while hoping not to lose my footing or sacrifice my pace.

While embracing this slower, more intentional version of myself is a daily practice, I know it’s a better, more purer reflection of what life’s really about.

I can’t believe it! One year ago today I opened my doors for business and my, what year it’s been!

I have met many wonderful women & men who have trusted me for their healthcare needs and even referred others to me.

I have been blessed by the love & support of my family & friends who have patiently listened to my business ideas long before I had a physical structure and have never lost their excitement even a year after opening.

I have managed to survive three floods in my space, even before my Grand Opening, and all the while keeping an optimistic outlook and never doubting that all these trials would make me a stronger business woman.

So am I ready to do it all again???

Today I willingly got on this ancient contraption to attempt to relieve a bad flare-up from a cervical disc while on vacation. Times like this aren’t fun (think: relentless radiating pain down my left arm), BUT they’re a good reminder of the pain many people deal with on a daily basis and how far one is willing to go to get relief.

And that’s the exact reason I went into practice- to help relieve people’s pain and get them back to what they love to do. For me this week, it’s skiing! ⛷⛷⛷

What's the worst gift you've ever received?

Alright all you tension headache sufferers: Next time before you reach for the Tylenol, try closing your eyes and practicing deep breathing techniques, along with smelling essential oils (peppermint & eucalyptus are especially nice for headaches). Needling in different areas, depending on your pain pattern, can also be extremely effective in reducing both pain and reoccurrence. Want more info? DM me!

This technique is known as “Circling the Dragon” and is extremely effective for a number of conditions, especially breaking down scar tissue. Imagine normal, healthy tissue laying down collagen like train tracks and scar tissue laying down like a bowl of spaghetti. Now can you see why it’s so hard to break up? Dry needling using this technique, combined with needle “twisting” and finally application of electrical current, is especially successful in breaking the bonds of this dense, atypical tissue.

The ice and snow can’t keep me away from making it into work today. So thankful for patients who are committed to their health and willing to drive extra slow just to get here!
