Those of us still braving the heat of The RGV at Seven Oaks Resort gathered for a Memorial Day Brunch. As you would expect the food was plentiful and delicious.

The Eclipse Party was a success! Despite mostly cloudy skies the turnout was great and the food delicious and plentiful. June N caught a break in the clouds. The Karaoke was very good

Our Security Cam caught a couple of intruders on the roof of our Corral! They said that they were doing maintenance services!
Actually they changed an attic fan motor, and did some alignment for our camera! Good Job Guys!

Quick tip to reduce or eliminate water evaporation from your traps when closing for the season...
Pouring a few ounces of mineral oil or vegetable oil into the drain is an effective way to create a barrier against evaporation. The oil forms a thin layer on the water’s surface, reducing its exposure to air.

At the end of Monday’s meet and greet several of our Quilts of Valor quilters combined their talents to present a quilt to one very brave and outstanding woman. As many of you know Dawn Mundt underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor. She still has a long road ahead but her courage and recovery has been amazing.
If you have followed any of Seven Oaks Resort postings you know that she joined her fellow members of Tommy and the Triple D’s to perform at The Happy Hour Birthday Party. The Quilt reflects her love of music.

Happy Birthday Happy Hour celebrating all the March & August Birthdays with the Seven Oaks Resort’s own Tommy & The Tripple D’s. And yes that is Dawn back with the group after major surgery. Dawn & Doug’s son also joined the group
