If you’ve never seen the real thing, you can easily be deceived by a counterfeit. Who you believe will play a significant role in what you believe. How can we wake up to reality?

All of us at Charles Simpson Ministries join in prayer for Donald Trump and all wounded during yesterday’s horrific shooting in Pennsylvania. Sadly, one rally attendee was killed by the gunman; two others were critically injured. We pray for comfort and healing.

Pray for our troubled nation as well. Political violence must have no place.

With a heavy heart I’m letting you know that Jim Newsom passed away yesterday. Our family, as well as Jim’s best friend, and Tim Parish our pastor were able to be at his side. To say he will be missed by me would be an understatement, but I will treasure every moment God allowed me to have him in my life. He had a God given talent to glean insight from the Bible, and share it in a way that you could understand and apply to your life. He was an amazing husband, father and friend. This world is a better place from having had him in all of our lives.I’ll let you know when we have the celebration of life service planned.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the men who love, nurture, protect, serve, provide for, and pray for their families. We honor you and thank God for you today and always!

Thanks to all have been praying for us. Yesterday, the body of Pastor Charles Simpson was laid to rest in a beautiful, simple, peace-filled family graveside service. Special thanks to Aaron Früh and Mike Coleman for officiating. A celebration of life service date to be announced soon.

Please pray with us today as we lay the body of Pastor Charles Simpson to rest and honor his life. We know by faith that his spirit is already present with the Lord. A public celebration of his life will happen, God willing, in late April. We will have more information soon.

Update on Pastor Charles Simpson from CSM President Stephen Simpson. Pastor Charles is with the Lord.

Charles Simpson had two surgeries this week: aneurysm repair and a feeding tube insertion. Both went well. He’s still dealing with recovery and the after effects of anesthesia. We are hopeful he can return to the physical rehabilitation center within the next couple of days. Thanks for praying. He sends his love to all of you.

Encouraging news … Charles Simpson’s aneurysm surgery is complete, and all went very well. He has just been admitted into hospital room and is resting. Thanks to all who have prayed and thank the Lord. 🙏

CHARLES SIMPSON UPDATE

Scans have shown that the aneurysm in his stomach has grown significantly and is leaking. It must be repaired immediately, though there are risks involved. The surgery will be today at 1:00 PM. Please pray, ask others to pray, and we will keep you posted.

Update on Charles Simpson: He is back in the hospital. Low sodium, electrolyte imbalance, dehydration have been ongoing issues. He’s also tested positive for a coronavirus. It’s not COVID, but another type of coronavirus. He is alert and in relatively good spirits, but very weak and still battling short term memory issues. He has had almost no appetite and has lost a lot of weight. We’re working to get him strong enough to go back to the rehabilitation center. Please continue to pray for him and us.

Prayers needed … I’m back at the hospital today, this time for my Dad, who is needing treatment in the ER for electrolyte and Afib issues. My own recovery from yesterday’s surgery seems on track. I’m tired and in some pain, but it’s manageable, by God’s grace. I’m so thankful for my wife, Susanne, who is such a blessing and support in all this. She was my chauffeur yesterday for my hospital trip.

Pastor Charles Simpson is able to be at home for a few hours to watch the Alabama football game today. He continues to make progress on his walking, praise God, and he sends love and gratitude to all of you. He said, “Happy New Year!”

Pastor Charles Simpson is working hard in physical therapy. His appetite has improved and he is resting better. We are so thankful to everyone who is praying for him and praise God for progress. We pray he will be strong enough to come home soon.
