Did you know that fireworks are responsible for starting an average of 19,000 fires each year? This not only poses a risk to personal safety but also leads to significant property damage and a surge in personal injury claims.
The enjoyment of fireworks comes with a responsibility — to use them in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone around. This includes choosing the right environment away from people, houses, and flammable materials, and strictly adhering to safety guidelines. Remember, improper use of fireworks can expose you to substantial legal liability, including the costs of damages and medical bills.

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, which honors the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
This day serves as a reminder of the resilience and strength of the African American community, while providing an opportunity for all Americans to consider how we can make our society more just and equitable.
With that said, we invite you to join us in celebrating and commemorating this important day. And please note our office will be closed today in observance of Juneteenth.
Should you have any questions or needs during this time, feel free to reach out via email or leave a message, and we'll get back to you as soon as we return.

This summer, as many of us enjoy the open water, let's remember the importance of operating boats safely – and soberly.
Just like driving a car while intoxicated, operating a boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs poses serious risks to yourself and others. Impaired judgment, slowed reaction times, and compromised coordination significantly increase the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
Swipe for a reminder of key facts about boating under the influence (BUI) and five tips for boat safety this summer ➡️
If you have any questions or concerns about boating under the influence or any other legal matters, please don't hesitate to reach out. Stay safe, and enjoy your time on the water 🌊☀️
This National Safety Month, we’re sharing a safety reminder for the parents, grandparents, and caregivers in our network.
As you know, summer programs offer incredible opportunities for kids to grow, have fun, and learn, all under the watchful eye of camp counselors, daycare workers, and teachers. However, it's important to remember that these activities also come with risks.

Unfortunately, accidents involving drivers who do not have insurance are common, as millions of Americans drive without insurance 🚗 In such cases, without Uninsured Motorist Coverage (UM), the options for recourse can be severely limited. Given this risk, we strongly recommend considering UM coverage.
UM coverage is especially beneficial after hit-and-run incidents involving stolen vehicles, which are all too common. Because the driver is unknown, legal action is often not possible. In such cases, UM coverage covers medical expenses, lost wages, and other related damages, which would otherwise fall heavily on the victim.
If you have questions about uninsured motorists or about your options in accident scenarios, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here to be a resource for you and your family.
Did you know that about 4.5 million Americans are bitten by dogs each year? While we all love our canine companions, it’s important to be aware of this risk and informed about what to do in the event of a dog bite incident.
With that in mind, we are sharing three key steps to take after a dog bite. Swipe through to gain this important knowledge ➡️ And please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or needs following an incident. We’re here to help when you need it most.
In the time it takes you to hum the “happy birthday” song twice, a fire department will respond to a new call somewhere in the United States. And in just over a minute, there will be a total of three such calls, according to the National Fire Protection Association.
Given the frequency of fires and the unique risks presented in the summer months, we’re sharing a timely reminder of safety best practices. Swipe through to learn more ➡️

🚨 Attention homeowners! 🚨 Have you checked for signs of termite damage lately? 🐜🔍 Don't let these sneaky pests wreak havoc on your property! Here are some telltale signs to watch out for:
1️⃣ Hollow-sounding wood: Tap on wooden surfaces like walls, floors, or furniture. If they sound hollow, it could be a sign of termite infestation.
2️⃣ Discarded wings: Termites shed their wings after swarming. Keep an eye out for small piles of wings near windowsills or other entry points.
3️⃣ Mud tubes: Termites build mud tubes to travel between their nests and food sources. Check for these pencil-thin tubes along your foundation or walls.
4️⃣ Buckling or sagging floors: Termites can weaken wooden structures, causing floors to warp or sag. If you notice any unusual changes, it's time to investigate.
5️⃣ Frass or termite droppings: Look for tiny wood-colored pellets resembling sawdust near termite-infested areas. This is a clear sign of their presence.
Remember, early detection is key to preventing extensive damage. If you suspect termite activity, consult a professional immediately. 🛡️🏠 Don't let termites take over your home! Stay vigilant and protect your property from these pesky invaders. 💪🚫

Did you know that drunk driving accidents historically surge on Super Bowl Sunday?
As we all gear up for the Super Bowl, it's important to prioritize safety to ensure this event remains fun and safe for everyone 🏈
Things to keep in mind:
1️⃣ Do Not Drink and Drive: Use designated drivers or rideshare services like Uber or Lyft when not within walking distance from home. Remember, you can be arrested for driving under the influence even if your blood alcohol content is below .08.
2️⃣ Drink Responsibly: Keep in mind that several factors such as gender, food intake, hydration levels, and medication can influence your intoxication levels. At parties, consider choosing measured or canned beverages for a clearer idea of the amount of alcohol consumed.
3️⃣ Host Responsibly: If hosting a Super Bowl party, offer ample food and non-alcoholic drinks. Consider stopping alcohol service during the third quarter, and remember that as a host, you're potentially liable if a guest drives drunk.
4️⃣ Drive Defensively: Given the potential rise in drunk drivers, apply defensive driving strategies if you’re driving on Super Bowl Sunday. Remain alert, maintain a safe distance from others, and report suspected drunk drivers to the authorities.
